What is ISD?

There is SO much information on ISD....Sometimes it can be overwhelming. I figure the best way to describe it is like a road block in the brain. It's not telling us to do the "correct" thing. We are all born with primitive reflexes, these are suppose to go away over time. If we retain these reflexes then it can cause so many different issues. Not every child with ISD has ALL of the issues, some only have a few.
I web site that I have found extremely helpful is
http://www.sensory-processing-disorder.com/sensory-processing-disorder-checklist.html

This is the first site I found when we found out about our diagnose and it seems to be the one that I keep going back to for more information.

This page is going to be a working progress as I figure out what I feel is the best way to describe ISD. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to send me your input.
